A tieback or holdback is something the ties or holds back layers of your drapery to reveal other layers. They are a quick and easy way to add more value to your draping. Bling Wrap Tiebacks
This is perhaps the most common type of tieback and is used by many designers all over the world. You can purchase these pre-made or make them yourself. If you want to make them yourself, buy a bling roll, cut them to size, and add some velcro strips. This is a great way to save money and personalize your bling wraps to fit your needs.
Floral Arrangement Tiebacks
Flowers can add elegance to any event draping or backdrops whether silk or fresh. One of the best reasons to use floral tiebacks is the customization that they allow. There are so many different flowers, greenery, and other elements to a floral arrangement that allow for endless possibilities. You will see floral arrangement tiebacks used a lot on arbors, gazebos, and arches to simply soften the structure and create intimacy.
Jeweled Tiebacks

All in all, adding additional elements like these will increase the value and therefore the price of your work. When having a consultation with a client, consider bringing a few different tie backs for them to choose from. Clients tend to flock towards things that fit their personality or the tone of their event. By giving them more choices and room for personalization, you present yourself as flexible and professional. In addition to this, with each additional feature selected, the price will increase. Be sure to be upfront about your pricing though! You never want to add hidden fees.
